Mr. & Mrs. Johnny and Mary Pinckney
My Father, Johnny, was the epitome of greatness. He was an awesome husband, father, brother, friend and Deacon. He loved people and therefore, he loved the Lord all the more. He was a big man in stature and his heart was even bigger. He instilled in us the importance to put God first above all things. He was an advocate of education and encouraged my siblings and I to go as far as we could, because the "sky is the limit." He was handsome, intelligent, charming, a hard worker, and a great provider. If you ever met him, you loved him. My father loved life and never met a stranger. If he didn't know you personally, he knew someone in your family. He gained his heavenly wings in July 2014. We will always love and miss him, but we know that his legacy lives on in and through us.

My Mother, Mary, was made just for my father. She was an amazing wife that complimented my father perfectly in such a way that their light shone together, as one illuminated image of outstanding examples of togetherness. My mother is a strong woman of God. She doesn't just tell you how to do things, she does things well. As a Proverbs 31 Woman, she rises early every morning, attended to her husband, cares for their children, grandchildren, and even their great grandchildren. She made clothing of fine linen, cooks the best meals and welcomes all into her home with loving kindness. My mother also instills in us to put God first and walks in her truth that God is the head of her life. Through her living, as a Stewardess, as a mother, a sister and a friend, she encourages and supports us in all of our activities and accomplishments. And most of all, she covers us in prayer every day.

I thank God for my parent's leadership and the blood that keeps us connected by and through the legacy of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people: that we should show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light! I Peter 2:9
