A proud mother of two sons, Jon M. Pinckney, Sr. & André C. Rhodes, and two daughters-in-law, Markita D. Pinckney and MyKaylah S. Rhodes, as well as the grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren, Jon M. Pinckney, Jr., Ari S. Pinckney, and Nia M. Pinckney.
Ms. Sonja is an Associate Minister in the Gospel at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston, South Carolina, a Young Adult Ministry Advisor, Director of Baptist Young Women, Sunday School Teacher, Advocate for My Sister's House, Retired State Employee of nearly 30 years of service as a Business Manager, Licensed Real Estate Agent and Founder/CEO of JMPinckney Publishing Company, LLC and Vision Magazine of Charleston. She currently holds a BA in Human Resource Management and MA in Business Management, and she's a Master of Practical Theology and a candidate for the PhD in Professional Practice. Ms. Pinckney Rhodes is the recipient of the 2021 House Resolution Award, the second-highest lifetime achievement awarded to a South Carolina resident, by the Honorable SC State House of Representative Wendell G. Gillard. She will be listed in the State Book of Records for life. She is also the 2021 recipient of the ACHI Women's Magazine Award for women who have achieved success in their chosen profession or career. |
